📺 My Thoughts

While very well acted, the story itself, being very important to tell, wasn’t inherently that exciting or at least the depiction they showed.

Goring was portrayed to be an extremely smart man, yet we never saw his rise to power, what made him so great? It was just a given. We were given some “showcases” of his intellect, but they weren’t really impressive or historical in anyway. Russel crow did a fantastic job at acting and pulling of the German accent, and rami malik as well rami malik. It was heavily based on the shrink relationship, but neither the information learnt or the capability of the shrink was detected (maybe historically accurate), in a sense we were just tagging along until the trial started. Even regarding the trial, I felt the “Gotcha” they got him with was almost too obvious to not use earlier? How hard could it be to incriminate the 2nd in command of the reich? Couldn’t find any extremely damning evidence..really?

Anyways, overall, was a good watch, I guess for me, the story itself wasnt that exciting even though acting was great. Did feel like an oscar bait movie to a degree.
