📺 My Thoughts
While it was a decent movie, I thought it could have been better given the 99% RT rating it had at launch. Released in a time period where every movie gets soaring reviews, this was the beginning of the trend, at least, when I realized it. While the movie was good, the actually reveal of the Witch and thereafter was quite underwhelming (too fictional, was hoping for something more grounded like Prisoners). Seemed like it was a great 1 sentence script (17 children all go missing at 2:14 am) but I felt he struggled to right the final act. Jump scares were trivial too, and full of comedy that personally, pulled me out of the immersion.
